Is it safe to use my credit card to buy online?

With Desa Handbags and Luggage, Absolutely! We understand that when it comes to handing over your precious details, you want to know exactly where they’re going, and how they’re being used. To ensure the safety of your digits, we work closely with our trusted payment partner eWay to ensure that all your personal details are kept safe. And we don’t store your credit card details.

However, if you think your credit or debit card has been used fraudulently, you must notify your card provider in accordance with its reporting rules and procedures. For information on how we use any personal information, please read our Privacy Policy.

At Desa Handbags and Luggage we know how important having a trustworthy online experience is. So, as a company (who’ve been in business for over 25 years), we guarantee your information is safe with us.

 

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

Efficiency is key when it comes to handbags and luggage. Who has time to wait around when there’s a plane to catch and a destination to explore? Not you. Our dispatch team operates Monday to Friday from Sydney and any orders received before midday can be processed the same business day, assuming the product is in-stock.

In the case that an order is placed for an out of stock item, you will be contacted and given the option to choose to wait for the item to come into stock or to select another suitcase, backpack or product from our extensive range of goodies.

Delivery Times: For delivery within Australia the expected delivery timeframe is within 6 business days from the day you place your order, and 10 business days for international deliveries. Obviously the closer to Sydney you are, the less time your handbags and luggage will take to arrive. (see our Shipping & delivery page for more details).

 

Do you offer express delivery?

Of course we do! Those last minute purchases are all part of the fun of travelling. To arrange Express Post or Courier Delivery please call us on +61 2 9439 9220 within our customer service hours: Monday - Friday 10:00am – 6:00pm EST; Saturday: 10:30am – 4:00pm EST and one of our experienced crew members will get back to you with a delivery quote within 48 hours or quicker than you can say ‘landed’.

 

Does Desa Handbags and Luggage have a minimum order amount?

There is no minimum order amount. You can order as little or as much as you want from our site. Although, as we charge a flat rate shipping fee you're better off ordering more in the one transaction to avoid paying additional delivery charges.

What is your return and exchange policy?

We’re 99.9% sure you’ll be thrilled with your order. However, in the rare case that you’re not, we’re happy to exchange the item. Here are our policies:

Desa Handbags and Luggage are happy to offer a full refund for the price of the good (excluding all delivery charges) or exchange on damaged goods within 14 days of purchase.

If you change your mind, we are happy to offer an exchange or credit note within 14 days of purchase.  Products must be returned to our Crows Nest store at the customers' expense (see the contact us page for store locations). Our regular delivery charges will be incurred by the customer to dispatch the change of mind item.

To be entitled to a refund or exchange, all products must be unused and in their original condition with the tags still attached and a Desa receipt or other proof of purchase must be provided.

How do I have my luggage repaired?

If you’re reading the FAQ’s, we guess you’ve already had a good peruse of the site. Yes? Yes. Great. Well, in that case, you’ll know that we’re the home of all the best brands in the business; including Samsonite, Antler, Black Wolf, Caribee, and many more. These brands are the best for a reason – they’re sturdy. They’re also extremely helpful with any problems that may arise with their product. That’s why Desa Handbags and Luggage does not perform repairs, provide warranty service or provide replacement parts of any kind. The suppliers do.

That’s right, if you find that your luggage requires service, you will need to contact the manufacturer in order to locate an authorised part/repair centre in your area. If an authorised repair centre is not available in your area, you will be given instructions on how to send your item(s) in for service. Repairs and service will be performed under the terms of the product warranty and suppliers will generally require a proof of purchase.

What if my bag is damaged by the airlines?

Those naughty airlines, we know how they love to toss your bags around and that’s why they need to take responsibility for their carelessness.

If your bag is damaged by an airline, you should immediately file a damage claim with the airline before you’ve left the airport.

You should also know that most manufactures warranties do not cover abuse or mishandling. So if the airline has damaged your bag, you need to make sure you take it up with them - not the manufacturer or supplier. Contact the manufacturer directly for information on a specific products warranty.

Do your products come with a warranty?

Rest assured, every item sold at Desa Handbags and Luggage is covered by the manufacturer's warranty.  Warranties differ depending on the brand, manufacturer and product. For more information on specific warranties contact the manufacturer directly or contact us.

 

Do you sell more items in-store that are not featured on your website?

Absolutely. We sell pretty much anything you’re looking for (except strange things, like Amazonian frogs). If there’s a specific handbag, suitcase, laptop bag, backpack or any other bag that you have seen somewhere and don’t see on the site, contact us and one of our crew will hunt it down for you.

 

What happens if the goods I order are defective or damaged?

O-oh, please immediately contact us if the product you ordered arrives in defective or damaged condition. That’s never our intension and must clearly be a mistake. They do happen very, very rarely. Items that arrive in defective or damaged condition will be replaced immediately at no extra cost to you (with a virtual sorry stamp attached). Please note: You must contact us within one week of receiving your order. Products must be unused and in their original condition with the tags still attached and a Desa receipt or other proof of purchase must be provided.

 

How do I get a receipt, tax invoice or proof of purchase?

At Desa Handbags and Luggage we like to save paper, so your order confirmation email will serve as your receipt and proof of purchase. If you have misplaced your order confirmation or require a duplicate receipt for some reason, simply. Duplicate receipts can be sent via email, fax or mail. 

 

Do you accept international orders?

We accept orders from Australia and New Zealand only. Purchases can be paid for by credit card (Visa or Mastercard) or PayPal and are charged in Australian dollars. 

 

Does anyone else see the information that I provide to Desa Handbags and Luggage?

We respect your privacy. Very much. We may share general information about the use of our site with advertisers, sponsors, content providers and other third parties, but we generally only disclose anonymous information about our users and except where otherwise specifically required to do so, we will not disclose any personally identifiable information to any third party without your approval. On occasions it may become necessary to release personal information, including if we are required to do so by law.
